Cast Backwash Valves

BWP AND BW SERIES VALVES are two-mode control valves that can be used in backwash-filtering and water supply systems. The transition between these two modes is provided by a bi-directional diaphragm seal. The movement of the diaphragm seal is controlled using line pressure or an external pneumatic pressure, allowing the backwash or filtering ports to open and close. This movement of the diaphragm changes the direction of the flow, causing direct flow (from filtration mode) to angular flow (backwash mode) and opens the discharge path. Thus, mixing of clean water with waste water is prevented. Changing the valve flow direction also allows this valve to be used in water supply pipelines.
